Is attending dance studios mandatory to be a good dancer?

In order for me to be a successful and good dancer is it mandatory to train in a dance studio or can you be self taught?

Dear Jazzy,

That depends on many things, like your own skills and dancing context. Do you think Michael Jackson attended many dancing studios?

However, it is more likely that you will be a better dancer if you get help from teachers and nourish your practice from the exchange one has when attending a studio or any type of school. (Still, that does not assure you anything).

If you have the option, the best thing is to try everything you can. Dancing is a lifelong studying profession… so what do you loose…
