How to improve my dance

Hi friends. Actually I was quite a good dancer earlier. But now I joined a dance class after 6 years and I came to realize that I am not good anymore . So what do I have to do to improve it? I forgot steps. So the sir is not giving attention to me, he is giving attention to others and I really feel bad; he never even motivates me. So I want to give them reply by doing my best. Kindly help me.
